Origin (DO): Bull
Store : Lurton
Grapes : Tempranillo
Wine Type: Red
Preparation: Aged for 6 months in 100% French oak barrels.

Presentation : This organic wine offers the most beautiful expression of the Tinta de Toro grape, balanced and smooth on the palate.

Viticulture and production: The stunning Toro region is one of the few areas that, thanks to its sandy, well-drained soil, has remained untouched by phylloxera. Cuesta Grande is a plot of Tinta de Toro grapes grown on deep, stony, and poor soils. Organic viticulture is practiced here. This is a great Toro terroir, identified year after year by François Lurton, which produces the most beautiful and elegant expression of Tinta de Toro, a variant of the famous Tempranillo. The grapes are hand-harvested in crates, then hand-sorted on a conveyor belt before and after destemming. A cold pre-fermentation maceration takes place for 4-5 days at 6°C in 80 hL tanks with floating lids, followed by alcoholic fermentation with punch-downs, délestage, and regular pump-overs. At the end of fermentation, and after tasting, the wine is left to macerate for about 3 weeks to extract a well-integrated tannic structure. – Malolactic fermentation in very fine grain French oak barrels and stainless steel tanks.

Aged for 6 months in 100% French oak barrels.

Tasting notes: A beautiful, deep red color. This wine is very expressive on the nose, with an aftertaste of red fruit, caramel, and vanilla notes. On the palate, it is full-bodied, structured, and has soft tannins. Aromas of red fruit, vanilla, and light balsamic notes are present.

Organic wine.

Due to logistical difficulties and the possibility of damage by third parties, wines are not shipped; they can only be picked up in store . Keep this in mind when placing your order.
