Ethiopia is the birthplace of coffee and one of the most complex and fascinating origins in the world. At Black Jebena, we are developing a B2B platform dedicated to Ethiopian coffee, designed for roasters, coffee shops, and distributors looking to work with traceable, origin-specific green coffee.

Our project stems from a genuine connection with Ethiopia. We lived there for over ten years and have firsthand knowledge of coffee culture, the producing regions, and the value of the farmers' work.

As we launch our origin portal, we are building a network of professionals interested in accessing select Ethiopian coffees.

  • Yirgacheffe

    Considered one of the most emblematic regions for Ethiopian coffee, its washed coffees are known for their floral and citrus notes, and great elegance in the cup.

  • Guji

    Intense and expressive coffees, known for their fruity profiles, great sweetness, and vibrant acidity. Guji's natural coffees typically offer notes of red berries, tropical fruits, and a very juicy texture.

  • Sidama

    One of the most important coffee-growing regions in the country. Balanced, complex, and aromatic coffees that perform very well in different roasting profiles.

  • Harrar

    A historical region in eastern Ethiopia. Harrar's natural coffees typically have intense profiles, with notes of nuts, dark chocolate, wine, and spices.

  • Limu

    Elegant and balanced coffees, usually processed using the washed method. They typically offer citrus and floral notes, and a clean profile highly valued in specialty coffee.

  • Jimma

    One of Ethiopia's historic coffee regions. Its coffees typically have a medium-to-full body, spicy notes, cocoa, and a mild acidity. They are also widely used in complex blends.

  • Bench Maji

    Emerging region of southwestern Ethiopia. Complex coffees with fruity profiles, bright acidity and great potential in experimental processes.

  • Kaffa

    Considered one of the regions where Arabica coffee originated, its coffees typically have complex profiles, with herbal notes, ripe fruit, and good structure.
