Presentation: The story of the Courselle family vineyards began in 1950 when André Courselle purchased Château Thieuley and set about creating a wine estate there. This characterful wine will become a staple in your wine collection.
Viticulture and Winemaking: Château Thieuley is situated on clay-rich soils, essential for the production of Bordeaux wines. The soil base at Château Thieuley is therefore clay with a varying proportion of limestone (clay and limestone soil) and gravel (clay and gravel soil). 50% of the wine is aged in vats, 50% in barrels.
Aged in vats 50% of the wine and in French oak barrels the other 50%.
Tasting notes: Deep dark color. The nose offers aromas of black fruit, with notes of candied strawberries, along with chocolate and toast. On the palate, the tannins are powerful yet round, guaranteeing good structure and great aging potential.
Due to logistical difficulties and the possibility of damage by third parties, wines are not shipped; they can only be picked up in store . Keep this in mind when placing your order.
