Presentation: Producing wine in Galicia has always been one of the Pariente family's dreams, and this year it has become a reality thanks to the incorporation of Finca A Vilerma into the family project, where they present a traditional blend of native varieties cultivated on the estate in question since 1977.
Viticulture and production: The vineyard is planted on terraces, with a 220-meter drop, in the Avia Valley, the heart of the Ribeiro region. This 6-hectare estate is home to six different indigenous grape varieties: Treixadura, Albariño, Godello, Loureira, Lado, and Torrontés. The soil is poor and shallow, composed of granitic sands and clayey sediments, with an abundance of stones, gravel, and rocks. Fermentation and aging take place in stainless steel tanks and used 500-liter barrels. A brief aging on the lees follows. The winemaking process respects and preserves the essence of the project since 1977.
Aged on lees.
Tasting notes: It stands out for its remarkable intensity of primary aromas. Vegetal notes such as fennel and bay leaf are prominent, along with fruity hints (apple, stone fruit, and citrus), a touch of damp stone, and a subtle floral note. On the palate, it is complex and elegant. The presence of fruit is very noticeable (apple, melon, stone fruit), combined with herbaceous undertones. It has a balanced acidity and a persistent, saline finish.
Pairing: Seafood, fish, white meats, rice dishes and fresh cheeses.
