Think about the flavours you most enjoy in a cup. The coffee does not literally contain fruit or chocolate: these are aromas and sensations that help us describe it. You can choose up to three.
Acidity is the fresh, lively sensation in coffee. It does not mean sour: higher acidity can recall citrus or fresh fruit, while lower acidity feels softer and rounder.
Body is the sense of weight and texture the coffee has in your mouth. It can feel light and delicate, medium and balanced, or denser and more enveloping.
Intensity describes how strongly the coffee stands out in the cup, from softer and easier-drinking profiles to coffees with more pronounced aromas and flavours. It does not refer to caffeine.
Each brewing method highlights different aspects of a coffee. Tell us how you normally prepare it and we will take into account which coffees work especially well with that type of extraction.
